Karen Fullwood
My artistic passions have manifested throughout my life in many different ways. I have been fortunate enough to be able to exercise creativity in various paths throughout my life.
Earlier years were spent in the advertising industry as a graphic artist and later in designing and renovating homes.
Being then blessed with two beautiful daughters that kept my days full. Around this time, I explored my interest in oil painting. This led me to eventually complete several commissions on large canvases. These works remain some of my favourites to this day.
As my girls grew older I was afforded more time. I continued with designing home renovations. This led me into my own business, Karen Fullwood Interiors.
I explored business and got a taste for entrepreneurship in a couple of different industries, before a friend from Alaska introduced me to pottery. This new medium differentiated hugely from anything that I had worked with before. I found it both challenging and exhilarating.
I developed a thriving passion for creating with clay. The unpredictable nature of pottery leaves me fascinated at the uniqueness of each piece every time. After selling my previous business, I was thrilled to dedicate my time to my new passion, Ceramics.
The studio came next, nestled in the trees of Little Cove Noosa. I’m lucky enough to find myself here every day now, creating and exploring new techniques and ideas and being constantly inspired by the nature that surrounds.
I love sharing my passion, so please feel free to visit any time you’re in the neighbourhood.
